1.The philosophy and objective of the programme is not clearly stated.
2.The core staff of radiography are inadequate in number.
3.The HOD is not qualify to head the department, he is lecturer 1.
4.There is no dark room to stimulate the clinical setting of the two laboratories.
5.There is no radiography physics laboratories.
6.There is no CT,MRI and Mammography unit at the clinic for training of students.
7.There is no safety instrument in all the clinics and other physical facilities visited.
8. Library books and journal both physical and electronic are out dated and grossly inadequate.
9.The e-library lack functional internet connectivity and the computers are grossly inadequate in number.

 

1.The philosophy and objective of the programme should be clearly stated as in the BMAS/CCMAS.
2.The university should employ more core staff of radiography into the programme as students are going into clinical level.
3.The university should encourage the staff to go for PhD programmes.
4. There is need to establish a processing dark room to properly stimulate the clinical setting of the two laboratories X-ray and Ultrasound.
5.There is need to establish radiography physics laboratory as the students are going to clinical level.
6. The university should establish CT,MRI and Mammography unit at the clinic so that the students can have first hand knowledge of the machine.
7. The university should provide fire extinguisher and sand buckets in the clinic and other facilities of the programme.
8. There is need for the university to purchase more relevant and current books and journals in radiography.
9. The university should purchase more band width and computers so that students can have access to internet connectivity for their assignment and research.

 

The total score for the programme is 61.16%. It scored 25.25 (76.52%)  in Academic Matters, 22.0 (63%) in Staffing, 16.25 (60.19%) in Physical Facilities, 4.0 (22.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (50.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
