1. There is only one innovative course (Sports physiology) included in the curriculum.

2. 37.5% of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from Staff Development programmes.

3. The available shared classrooms are not furnished with public address systems, projectors and electronic white boards.

4. Physical Library books and journals are inadequate in number and currency

5. The internet access at the university is slow and inadequate to ensure access to electronic resources.

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. The university should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from Staff Development Programmes.

3. The University should ensure all classrooms are furnished with public address systems, projectors and electronic white boards.

4. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme.

5. The University should ensure that internet connectivity is improved upon.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.92%. It scored 12 (80.00%)  in Academic Matters, 16 (88.89%) in Staffing, 15 (83.33%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (87.50%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (100.00%) in Funding, 2 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
