This question is incorrect. According to APICS dictionary Design for manufacturability is "Simplification of parts, products, and processes to improve quality and reduce manufacturing costs". Design of experiments is defined as "A quality management technique used to evaluate the effect of carefully planned and controlled changes to input process variables on the output variable. The objective is to improve production processes." Based on both definitions, DOE would be a more plausible answer to this question.
